About

Sift, stir and savour. Sounds simple, right? Unfortunately food is no longer that simple. Food is often mass produced and with mass production comes a whole lot of issues that I will refrain from commenting on (you’re welcome). What I will comment on is my love for food, real food. And yes, I do find it necessary to verify that it’s REAL food that I love.

What is real food you ask?

To me, real food is food that is whole and plant based. It is found in nature and requires little to no preparation for safe consumption. It gives you energy and nourishes your body. And most importantly, it tastes good and makes you feel good.

Sound like hippy-crap to you? If you’re one of my brothers it probably will, but wait, it gets better…

Food for me cannot contain gluten or dairy. My body does not like gluten or dairy. In fact, when I ingest gluten or dairy my body becomes very angry at me and punishes me in strange and unusual ways, also something I will refrain from commenting on (you’re welcome, again).

So what does all of this mean in terms of this blog?

It means that I’ve created this blog to share with others my love for food and how it has healed and now energizes me. My hope for this blog is that others who are not able to love all foods (like me) are empowered to reconnect to the foods that they can love and to love them in the most delicious ways possible.

Mmmm Cupcake!

  1. I love your food philosophy Erin!! I’ve been following a plant-based diet for just over a year, and I can’t believe all the crap I used to eat. It’s always great to find others who follow a similar path. You’ve got a wonderful blog here! Celeste:)

    • Thanks! And I know what you mean, I love hearing from/meeting like-minded people and sharing experiences and ideas! I hope you continue to enjoy my blog šŸ™‚
