Finally, the long weekend is here and I’m loving it. Actually, I’m overcome with love this weekend because we added a new little guy to our family:
I’ve never had a dog before so I was a bit nervous about the idea, but as soon as I saw him I melted. It was love at first sight. He’s a 7 week old Bichon Poodle and we named him Wayne. My partner’s sister also got one from the same litter (she named him Murphy), so there are two puppy brothers to play together.
They are currently playing together right in front of me, I’m very distracted to say the least! Anyway, it’s time for 5-Ingredient Mondays, a place where bloggers link-up their 5-ingredient gluten-free recipes. It was very difficult to pick favourites this week, but clearly my sweet tooth took over. Definitely make sure you check out all of last weeks submissions here.
Chocolate Banana Chia Pudding from Gluten-Free Cat
Green Tea Ice Cream from Coconut and Berries
This week I’m submitting my Creamy Banana Protein Pudding:
There’s my submission, what will yours be this week?
Please review the following guidelines before linking up:
- Recipe should contain 5 ingredients or less, pantry staples excluded. So basically anything that is likely to be found in most peoples kitchen/pantry does not count as an ingredient, neither do optional ingredients. Examples of kitchen/pantry staples may include spices, baking soda, baking powder, milk/non-dairy milk, oils, etc.
- Recipe must be gluten-free. Bonus for recipes that are also dairy-free and double bonus for plant-based recipes.
- Lastly, please leave a link to your own recipe that goes to that week’s 5-Ingredient Monday post, not on this static page.
Your recipes don’t need to be from this week, but it does need to be your own recipe. I will sometimes share photos of the recipes with links back to your blog, so by sharing your recipe, you are giving me permission to use your photo and link back to your recipe.

Congrats on the new puppy!!! That chia pudding looks great.
What a little cutie Wayne is! Thanks for hosting 5 ingredient Mondays as usual. This week I’m sharing my Apricot Almond Smoothie.
Wayne rocks, he’s soooo cute! I hope you’ll post lots of pickies of him on your blog. I thought I was more of a cat kind-a girl – but now that I’ve seen Wayne, I have to re-evaluate that! Your pud looks yum, too. Oh, almost forgot to say something about the recipe I linked, hah, Wayne really is distracting!
I posted my Thyme Hummus, Red Pepper and Alfalfa Sprouts Sandwich filling. Dairy-free, plant based and virtually gluten free (I used Spelt bread which is low in gluten, but gf free bread would work nicely, too).
Super chuffed that you’re taking part in Vegan Mofo, too 🙂 It’s exciting – it’s my first…
Wow, what a cute guy! Love that he has his brother as a playmate, too! This week I’ve linked up an old favorite, Oatmeal Brulee. So easy and quick and delish for breakfast! 🙂
Thanks for hosting, Erin! Enjoy your week with Wayne! 😉
