Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there! I was fortunate enough to be able to spend the weekend with my dad. This was the first Fathers Day without my grandpa though, so I’ve found myself staring at this photo for a while:
That’s me and my grandpa (many, MANY years ago). He was the best grandpa I could have ever asked for and I am grateful that I was able to have him in my life for 25 years. He passed away before I started this blog, but I know if he was around he would probably look at it and say “that’s nice dear”, haha 🙂
Anyway, tomorrow morning it’s back to a busy schedule for me. Between working full time and studying nutrition through CSNN, it takes organization and quick meal ideas for me to be able to be consistent with my values of healthy eating and being active. Luckily it’s 5-Ingredient Monday time and therefore lots of sharing of quick, delicious and healthy recipes. Check out last weeks submissions here!
Here are some of the highlights from last week:
Vegan & Gluten-Free Asparagus Fries from the Healthy Maven
Carrot, Ginger and Celery Soup from Skinny GF Chef
Spiced Roasted Almonds from Laura’s Gluten-Free Pantry
This week I’m submitting my Sunflower Seed “Bacon” Bits:
There’s my submission, what will yours be this week?
Please review the following guidelines before linking up:
- Recipe should contain 5 ingredients or less, pantry staples excluded. So basically anything that is likely to be found in most peoples kitchen/pantry does not count as an ingredient, neither do optional ingredients. Examples of kitchen/pantry staples may include spices, baking soda, baking powder, milk/non-dairy milk, oils, etc.
- Recipe must be gluten-free. Bonus for recipes that are also dairy-free and double bonus for plant-based recipes.
- Lastly, please leave a link to your own recipe that goes to that week’s 5-Ingredient Monday post, not on this static page.
Your recipes don’t need to be from this week, but it does need to be your own recipe. I will sometimes share photos of the recipes with links back to your blog, so by sharing your recipe, you are giving me permission to use your photo and link back to your recipe.
