Eggnog Rooibos Tea Latte- Vegan, Grain-Free & Refined Sugar-Free

It’s officially winter, and we all know what that means…time to cozy up by the fireplace with a blanket and warm cup of tea. And let me tell you, there’s no better festive tea than this one:

Eggnog Rooibos Tea Latte

A warm and creamy tea latte that not only satisfies a sweet tooth but also won’t keep you up at night. That’s right, rooibos tea is naturally caffeine free. I don’t know about you, but if I have even a drop of caffeine past noon I won’t be sleeping that night.

Other than being caffeine free and delicious, rooibos tea is also good for your body. It acts as an antioxidant, can help lower high blood pressure, is useful in the prevention of diabetes, fights against liver disease and may slow down the natural aging of the brain. All that in a cup of tea?

You’ll probably need more than one glass in your lifetime to reap those benefits, so why not start today?

This fragrant tea can be enjoyed anytime: morning, afternoon or night! Add more  of the spices if your taste buds like the extra kick!

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 rooibos tea bag
  • 1/2 cup boiled water
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened original almond milk
  • 1/2 cup So Nice Noel Nog
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Steep tea bag in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a saucepan and heat over low heat until warm (or hot if you like your tea that way).
  3. Pour both the tea and the heated mixture into a mug, sit back and savour!

As you can see, I like my tea strong so I leave the tea bag in until I’ve finished the drink. Feel free to steep as little or as long as you’d like.
